So this is our apartment before we started moving...

and this is it now!

Its amazing how the Lord provided since we had a limited number of days left the garage sale came to us! We didn't even have to have one as so many people bought our stuff. Thanks to Sara B. who cleared out practically our whole apartment while we were out to dinner, and when we got back we felt like we had been robbed! :) It has just been so amazing how the Lord has given us grace for each day. Today's task is making sure our luggage is under the 70 lb limit. Yikes! I've discovered the secret of vaccum packing stuff, but then forgot that while the space might be there, the weight is still an issue!

Thanks to Daisy Cox who gave me the most amazing american quilt to take with. It is so beautiful! :) I'd upload a photo of it but I'm on my moms dial up. :) So more to come.

Thank you to all of you who have been praying for us. We feel SO loved and upheld by prayer. This transition so far has been as easy as it can be.

Table for Two

so I've been listening to 40 acres while rushing around trying to get everything done before we leave, and these words keep on becoming such a stronghold for me. Even though they are regarding being single :) and not moving across the planet, but they remind me of the soveriegnty of God and how He's known the plan for my life before i was even born. How amazing is our God? He knows the plans He has for us, plans for a hope and a future.

"Well this day's been crazy but everything's happened on schedule
From the rain and the cold to the drink that I spilled on my
You knew how You'd save me before I fell dead in the garden
And You knew this day long before You made me out of dirt
And You know the plan You have for me
And You can't plan the ends and not plan the means
And so I suppose I just need some peace
To get me to sleep"

Shipping...

"Go and tell my servant David, 'Thus says the LORD: Would you build me a house to dwell in? I have not lived in a house since the day I brought up the people of Israel from Egypt to this day, but I have been moving about in a tent for my dwelling." 2 Sam 7

Ok if the God of hosts could live in a tent, and move all over, so can I! :)

This is what we condensed our lives down to this weekend. About two palates worth. It's going to sit at the harbor for a week to make sure there are no bombs! (seriously!) and then will make it slowly across the atlantic to South Africa. We should get our stuff by December 23rd, or late January, depending on what ship it goes on. Its weird condensing your life into boxes. Our apartment echos when we talk now! :) But the Lord is soooo good. We really feel upheld by prayer. And its a big relief. Packing is over!
